Things print professionals should know before exporting.
Use 300+ DPI artwork
Low-res files look blurry when mapped onto the 3D surface. Always work from your print-resolution file, not a web preview.
Width = π × diameter
Artwork width should match or exceed the mug's circumference (π × average diameter) to avoid visible seams.
Check the safe area
Keep all key design elements inside the red safe-area border. Anything outside may not print cleanly.
Account for handle clearance
The handle clearance zones at each edge are where the handle attaches. Avoid placing critical artwork there.
Export PNG before sending to print
Use "Save PNG" to get the flat artwork file at the correct dimensions. This is what your printer needs.
Reset between designs
Hit Reset before uploading a new design variant so the previous artwork doesn't bleed through.
